A sustainable single-storey house that combines tradition and modernity.

The project begins with an exploration of the typology of a traditional rural house, through which contemporary solutions and reinterpretations of traditional elements are explored. According to the investor’s wishes, a single-storey house with a clear longitudinal character was designed, which harmoniously fits into the natural environment.

The exterior of the house is made of local stone, which emphasizes the connection with indigenous construction and reduces the carbon footprint of transporting materials.

The living area of the house is maximally open to the exterior thanks to a continuous glazed facade, which allows for plenty of natural light and uninterrupted views of the surrounding landscape. This space connects the living room, dining room and kitchen, while the difference in level inside the house follows the natural slope of the terrain and brings dynamism to the floor plan.

The private part of the house is located parallel to the main living area, where there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Access to these rooms is designed from the common living area of the house, which reduces hallways to a minimum and maximizes the functional use of the space.

The sustainable aspect of the house is emphasized by the high level of insulation, the carefully studied orientation of the building, and the integration of all modern systems for minimal energy consumption, which makes the house meet the standards of nearly zero energy consumption.

This project combines traditional building systems and local resources with modern technologies and architectural solutions, creating a sustainable and contemporary home.
